The sample collection

We have developed a collection with patterns from the K. A. Almgren Silk Weaving Mill's collections! It consists of trays, coasters and bookmarks. The patterns of the original fabrics were designed during the 19th century and were developed with the idea of showing the different color schemes the fabrics could be produced in.

The green fabric with a geometric pattern was used at the Royal Palace. The floral patterned fabric on a dark background has more of a folk origin, and shows possible color combinations for the silk shawls that were the most important product for the company during the 19th century. Both fabrics are displayed in the museum's main exhibition.

The sample fabric collection is available for purchase exclusively in our gift shop.
