The warp consists of hand-dyed Japanese silk ribbons and the weft of silk yarn in red, blue and green.

Recycled ties by Slipsfabriken

Historical textile from Duran Textiles

Slipsfabriken is a project with recycled ties by Studio Brieditis & Evans.

We have their tie knots, vintage ties and accessories in the museum store.

Duran Textiles produces Scandinavian fabrics from the 18th century. The patterns are found in the collections of various Scandinavian museums. In our shop you can by both fabrics by the meter and silk headscarves.

The patterns that inspired the silk shawls were drawn and woven sometime during the middle of the 19th century, probably at K. A. Almgren's silk mill.
